Luminous: A Dialogue in Light and Color

Exhibit at the Windsor Arts Center

Drawing from traditions of quilt making and glass painting respectively, Connecticut-based artists Alexandra Wahl and Eddie Hall each explore color and pattern, light and shadow in this juxtaposition of innovative artwork that brings life to the darkest season.

Opening night is November 15th, 5-7pm.

Regular gallery hours are Thursdays 6-8pm; Saturdays 10am-4pm & Sundays 11am-4pm

Artist Talk is January 3rd at 2pm.

Holiday Market at Noah Webster House

Enjoy the opportunity to find the best gifts for family and friends while also supporting small, local businesses this holiday season. The sixth annual Holiday Market at Noah Webster House will take place over two weekends, featuring over 20 different local vendors each weekend. Vendors will be set up throughout the museum offering a wide range of crafts and handmade gift items. The Holiday Market will be open for shopping on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 & 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (this is the weekend I will be there), and Friday, December 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, December 6 & 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (second weekend).

Bizarre Bazaar

The Bizarre Bazaar is a Halloween-themed artisan craft fair held annually in downtown Hartford. The fair hosts live music, local artists (that’s me!), and connoisseurs of creepiness. This event is free and open to the public. Set to take place on the plaza outside the Old State House (800 Main Street), unless it rains, in which case we will be sheltering inside the State House Square Food Court.

Community of Light (Solo Exhibition)

Come check out my solo exhibition of quilt lightboxes at TheaterWorks Hartford, now through May 16th. The gallery space is in the back of the main lobby, open to the public 9am-5pm, M-F, and before any show time (“Primary Trust” is starting April 10th). There will be an opening reception starting at 6pm on April 16th.

"Crafted Vision" at WorkSpace Manchester

WorkSpace Manchester, located at 903 Main St, Manchester, CT, houses a lovely gallery within their coworking space. This month’s show celebrates the unique perspectives of makers, highlighting both the use of non-traditional materials and the non-traditional use of traditional materials. You can visit and see five of my lightboxes among the innovations. Open 10am-4pm, M-F and 10am-2pm on Saturday, Jan 11th.
